I started sculpting seriously in 1981 and professionally in 1989. My first experience in sculpting was with 25mm metal miniatures. Most of my work is
uncredited. I made my first resin kit in 1992 while apprenticing with a prop/model maker.
Long before meeting any prop makers, I made my first prop replica around 1975 before it was even considered a hobby. Scratchbuilding was done at the time with
cardboard and white glue. I even built a hand-held computer from masking tape and a block of wood. :) Ok, I was a child back then, but how many kids do you
know built a toy computer in the 1970's, even before Star Wars?!
It would be a couple more years before I would understand what a computer really was and have a chance to learn to program one. I can honestly say that I
don't miss punchcards! Now if we could just get past the virus known as Windows...
